My Experiment - Part 5 - Various Shutter Speed

This post is on the various shutter speed and the according outputs.

The below photos are taken by treating the same subject to different Shutter Speeds.

Unfortunately, the notes taken by me are damaged and gone beyond the condition of recognizing and hence am unable to put in the shutter speeds for the shots.

The exposure factor remains the same with the difference in the shutter speed alone

Lowest Shutter Speed - The time was around 10 in the night

In this 3rd shot, the tree in the lower right hand corner is becoming visible

Here the background seems to be semi lit thanks to the shutter speed and  lower right hand corner tree  is more visible

This shot with the highest shutter speed my Nikon P80 can offer and  makes it look like day break  but actually it is 10 in the night.

My Experiment - Part 4 - Blue Basket

This is again one more from my experiments involving the kitchen item and this time the subject is a blue basket which is used to clean the vegetables.

My Experiment with Lights - Part 3 - LPG Burner

This is in continuation to my earlier blogs on My Experiment, this is Part-3 and this time the subject matter is the LPG flame.

To my wife's utter astonishment, last Sunday night, while she was cooking, went into the kitchen, brought to life the idle burner and switched of the lights.

As usual, my wife understood the reason and she supported and turned off the other burners as a mark of support and the results are as below.

Balloon-White or Red in Color?

The below photos were shot in my office during the "Women's Day" Celebration.

The balloons were hanging from the "Light Source" itself and the same provided for some intriguing shots.

These photos are shot from my iPhone and not from a camera.

Appending below the same..

Time to Change - Self Discipline

Had always wondered on many things and normally the top of the list would be the society and the simple day-to-day happenings around us.

Self discipline is the one which comes to my mind immediately.

When we drive, when we walk, when we are in a queue, when in a supermarket pushing the trolley around...

While driving or riding...

Do  we always follow the signals?

D we always stop at the stop line?

Do we always park our vehicle where the parking is allowed and "No Parking" board is not there?

Do we use the "Zebra Crossing" for crossing the road or as a driver/rider do we allow the pedestrians to cross while using the Zebra.

Do we stand in the queue till our turn comes to pay our bills?

The answers from all of us might range from "Not always, It depends on my Urgency/situation, May be, Yes but at times" etc... but Definitely not a "STRONG YES - I DO IT ALWAYS"..Including me.

Hope many of us would be having kids and we are standing examples for them.

I had changed as it is "Time to Change" for me.

I used to fall in that bracket "Yes,at times and Not always", but the entire thing changed a couple of weeks before and the instrument for that change is my year and half old daughter - Who brought the change in me.

Am a proud father of a girl  and i use to carry/walk her along her on my shopping trips and urgent little needs to the neighborhood shops.

I normally have the habit of saying "Thanks" at the billing counter or to the other shopper who helped in picking up a product of the shelf or the one who gives way to me as i would be carrying my kid in one hand and the purchased stuff in the other.

Couple of weeks before, after paying the bills at the counter and as usual i said thanks and to my and to the counter staff disbelief my daughter Shriya said the same words "THANKS" not an exact pronunciation but the listener can make out that it is "thanks". Mind the fact that she is year and half only.

From then on, whenever something is handed over to her, she is saying the word "Thanks".

Am overwhelmed by this and at that same time, this incident thought me the self discipline part of it as am an standing example and an ready reference for my kid.

Hope it is Time to Change and i CHANGED.

Hope the same applies to he entire society that Self Discipline is one of the biggest asset and tool to have the society CHANGE.

The first change that i had implemented is to start early to Office and to avoid the peak traffic which inevitably pushes us to jump signals and to wrong over take the fellow drivers/riders....

A Funny Name Board

Really don't know whether the owner of this business deliberately left the sign board as it is..

Mugamoodi-Shooting-Spot

It was late in the night..rather..well past midnight and was on my way back home. Atop a building there was a bright white light in one of the lane and when inquired with the people standing there, they informed me that "Mugamoodi" shooting is going on.

This film is directed by Mysskin and starring Jiiva and Narain in the lead.

Normally in a place where the shooting happens would be full of commotion and noise till the time the director says "Start Camera","rolling" and "Action", but last night the situation was entirely different and there was minimum noise even during breaks. If that light wasn't there, even i would have also missed this and passed by.

Hope the Mugamoodi team respects the sleeping time of the neighbors and maintained a well disciplined silence. Now, with that white light giving an opportunity for the photo bug inside me to take few snaps of the well-lit "Coconut-tree". Was having my Apple only and missed my Nikon P80. But the output is decent enough to share (Hope So..:-))

Error number 5 - Times of India - Chennai Edition-dated 8th march 2012

Hope Times of India would get the award for the "Most Number of Mistakes" made in the print industry.

They claim them self to be the market leader but am sure that they are the market leader for the number of errors committed.

This is the 5th error noted by me.

Hope they have editors who are taking note of these blatant errors being made almost on daily basis now.
